Summary information
The Queensland Murray-Darling Committee Inc (QMDC) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to be part of a team working on Natural Resource Management in the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin.
We are seeking applications for Land Management Technical Officer (two positions available).
The position will support the delivery of sustainable cropping and grazing systems to landholders on an individual and group basis within the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin. The position aims to encourage better understanding of the links between land systems, land use practices and the management of salinity risk, particularly in relation to dryland and irrigated farming systems.
Applicants are required to demonstrate:
- Skills and knowledge in communication methods for developing and delivery of field training and adult learning activities in a rural environment.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and in multi-disciplinary teams in a reliable and highly professional manner.
- Experience and/or technical skills/knowledge of sustainable cropping and grazing practices and catchment protection.
- Experience and/or technical skills/knowledge of land systems and landscape processes of South West Queensland.
The positions are full time, and are located at Roma or Goondiwindi (1 position per location).
