The National Solar Schools Program provides $50,000 in funding to contribute to increased energy efficiency in schools. The program is being delivered in partnership with the Queensland Government Solar and Energy Efficiency Schools Program.
The program is not only delivering solar panels in schools. Schools will also be able to choose from a range of other renewable energy technologies (including wind turbines, solar or heat pump hot water systems) and energy efficiency measures (including lighting efficiency retrofits, sensor timers, insulation, skylights, door closes and seals, sun shade, ceiling fans).
