Hi guys While I am currently engaged as a communciation consultant with the RGC, I also run a small consultancy firm, Wombat Creative, which specialises in providing support to communities working towards sustainability. With a small team of staff, we manage events, write grants and proposals, undertake corporate communication and marketing activities and facilitate strategic planning. I know, doesn't it sound like fun!
Our current clients include the Queensland Regional NRM Group's Collective, Queensland Conservation Council and the Botanic Gardens of Australia and New Zealand Congress. Previous clients include Greening Australia Limited, Landcare Queensland, North Burnett Landcare Group, Queensland Murray Darling Committee, SEQ Catchments, Gold Coast Catchment Association, Gold Coast Environment Council, Pumicestone Region Catchment Coordinating Association, Pine Rivers Catchment Association, Moreton Bay Coastcare and lots of others.
Prior to initiating Wombat Creative I was Manager for Landcare Queensland. I left that post to travel through South Ameri
ca (picture adjacent is from Salta in Argentina) for nearly 12 months. I have also worked as a Landcare Facilitator and Regional Education Officer for the Queensland Government and Community Engagement Officer with Greening Australia Queensland as well as holding voluntary positions as Secretary of Queensland Conservation Council, an advisory board member for The Big Issue and telephone counsellor with Salvation Army.
My family is from Vanuatu, where I started my schooling and I travel there about once a year. I am also approximately 170th in line for the Tongan throne. My great grandmother eloped from Tonga to settle in Vanuatu with her then beau. I now live at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast, where I am about to start training for a Bronze Medallion, but you can still call me princess if you like :)
