In striving for improved resource condition in Queensland our role is to act as a lead body in Queensland for regional NRM bodies by:
- providing support, advocacy and policy influence for regional bodies to conduct their business
- providing leadership for regional natural resource management arrangements, through strategic partnerships
This is undertaken through:
- Formalising partnerships with all levels of Government
- Supporting, mentoring and advocating for Regional Bodies to effectively achieve their sustainability goals
- Leveraging and promoting community investment, participation and commitment to natural resource management
- Developing policies to support regional natural resource management as a long-term initiative, and partnering with other organisations to promote policies of mutual interest
- Speaking with one voice on state-wide natural resource management issues
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with key organisations at the state and regional level
- Coordinating common priorities across all regions on a state-wide basis
