Queensland Regional NRM Groups’ Collective focuses on the statewide delivery of regional natural resource management outcomes in partnership with industry, community and government.
We act as the representative body for natural resource management in Queensland, providing a single, strong voice for our members – the 14 regional natural resource management groups covering Queensland’s entire land mass.
We coordinate statewide programs, provide mentoring and leadership, advocate for improved investment in natural resource management and identify areas for training and improvement.
We work collaboratively with other peak bodies who have an interest in natural resource management and we have a strong working relationship with those Government departments – both at state and federal levels – charged with policy related to regional sustainability.
Our 14 members reflect the diversity within the state. Their corporate structures, stakeholders and planning processes differ depending on the communities within which they operate. Each of our members is supported with funding from the Queensland Government and the Australian Government’s Caring for Our Country program.
